Rudraksha beads are the seeds of the Elaeocarpus ganitrus tree, worn and counted in Indian practice for centuries. Plus Value carries 9 rudraksha pieces alongside its crystal range, chosen for people who combine rudraksha with crystal practice.
Mukhi and what it means
The mukhi is the number of natural vertical faces on the bead. One mukhi is the rarest and most expensive. Five mukhi is the most common and the one most often used for daily mala counting. Higher mukhi beads are chosen for specific intentions and should be bought only from a source that will state the origin.
Wearing and care
Rudraksha is traditionally worn against the skin. Oil it occasionally with mustard or olive oil to stop it drying and cracking. Remove it before swimming in chlorinated water. Many families remove it during cremation ceremonies; practice varies by community.
Rudraksha with crystals
The most common combination in India is rudraksha with clear quartz or with sphatik, worn as a bracelet or counted as a mala. See Healing Necklace and Jaap Mala and Rudraksha Beads.
Frequently asked questions
Which mukhi rudraksha should I wear?
Five mukhi is the standard daily-wear bead and needs no prescription. Specific mukhi beads for planetary purposes should be chosen with an astrologer, not from a chart online.
How do I care for rudraksha?
Oil it occasionally, keep it out of chlorinated water, and store it in cloth rather than loose in a bag.
Can rudraksha be worn with crystals?
Yes, and rudraksha with clear quartz or sphatik is one of the most common combinations sold in India.
Why buy from Plus Value India
Plus Value has been supplying Vastu and crystal remedies from Mumbai since 1991, under the guidance of Vastu consultant Nitien Parmar. Everything listed here is stocked and dispatched by us, not drop-shipped. Stones are natural, so colour, banding and weight vary from piece to piece; that variation is the mark of a genuine stone rather than a defect. If you are unsure which remedy fits your situation, book a Vastu consultation or a crystal consultation before you buy.
Vastu, Feng Shui and crystal practices are traditional systems followed in Indian households. They support intent and daily discipline. They are not a substitute for medical, legal or financial advice.
